Located in Castilleja de la Cuesta, 3 kilometers from the center of Seville by the A49 highway, on top of the Aljarafe hill, the house is near the Palace of Hernan Cortes. Venerable summer residence of the Dukes of Montpensier, the Hacienda of the Sacred Family or "House of the Marquis" is the former property of the Marquis of the Reunion of New Spain and today the House of Culture and Municipal Library.

Within this complex, declared a cultural monument (main house, central patio and working patio, olive mill with weighted tower, spacious herb and flower garden), the present-day owners have restored this house for comfortable lodging.
